2026 is the year that ACOFAE is covering the classics apparently, because they mentioned Animal Farm in the beginning of the year and here we all are now covering this Orwell classic. Published in 1945, and with the subtitle "a fairy story" in the UK, Animal Farm is a short book that covers the Russian Revolution of 1917 using a farm as the setting and animals as the characters for the most part. A story that begins with passion stirring for change, an opportunity, and then the slow decent into the same situation everyone started from, Animal Farm, is a story about how man corrupts. Which are the pigs and which are the humans? Impossible to tell. Horrifying.
